What Hydrometer? 1 Year, 2 Months ago  
I have the Instant Ocean swing arm type.
Sometimes it takes a couple of readings to get a good average (I usually take three and if they are the same thens I go with it).

Then I saw this:
Opinions please?

the one you have is fine. the reason you get different readings is probably from tiny air bubles on the arm. use a clean chopstick to tap the the arm a few times till you dont see any bubbles or do yourself a favour and spend about 80-90 quid on a refractometer.

I use the Instant Ocean Hydrometer and they are spot on.
