I have ordered stuff from Zooplus.ie. I find them pretty good. Upon ordering, you can enter the code STOCKUPANDSAVE and get a 5% discount for orders that are greater than 100 Euro (I get my cat/dog food there too).
Discount with Zooplus
For fish food, I tend to get it from my local LFS as it gives me an excuse to go and visit them
Hope this helps.

Thanks Valerie for the prompt reply, was looking for a battery operated undergravel cleaner too and zoo plus was 30 euro odd dearer than another site i browsed. Was looking for maybe the chance of buying a bigger tub of food which i could refill say a 90 gramm tub occasionally to preserve the freshness and quality.Have used Zoo plus before,i needed an external for my tank and priced around places in dublin but nobody could match or even go near the price so i purchaced one from them and found them very reliaable too.......

Remember no fish shop could survive on sales of fish only, so don't buy all your dry goods online. I know sometimes the price difference is large or it is the only way to get the item you want, but when the difference is reasonable support your LFS. If you need advice or something in a hurry you can't pop down to your local online supplier
Not trying to start a flame war here, just trying to be reasonable and pointing of the facts of aquatic retail business too.

Hi Daragh i agree to what you say to a certain extent but like i said its at times like this that a grave lack of finances dictates as to where i can purchase the same product cheaper.I have practicaly always purchaced fish, equipment, food etc before from aquatic shops to give them my bit of support when i had the few bob in my pocket but now with things being differant i,m looking for any web addresses of any reliable sites where i can purchace goods.
Lets say for instance your lucky enough to have money coming in,finances ok,two local aquatic shops selling the same product, one full price and the other half price, you,ve supported both before, being honest then and forgetting about the internet purchace issue which do you buy from ????? flipside now and you have to tighten the belt, now theres really not a choice,i dont think i now need to ask the same question again?.......
No offence intended Daragh, but in all walks of life like nature itself circumstances dictate so basicly it boils down to survival of the fittest...

Needs must. I understand that. I was just making the point that LFS need more than fish sales to survive, but I accept your point entirely.

Hi Nomad, I totally agree with where your coming from, my lfs is aquapaws in Barna, they are great for fish food as they do their own mix and if you bring buy from them they Refill you container cheaper than buying a new one..
Hope this helps

Thanks for replies,Seamus unfortunately i,m a good bit away from Barna so still looking for any good web addresses for fish for now.Thats a great idea that Aqua paws came up with considering the price of fish food nowadays, once the food is maintained hygienicly and kept fresh. It just shows that there is a middle road in some aspects of retail and that shops can and must to a degree help preserve their continuing existance with such ideas and reduce internet sales,.....Technoligy will be mans destruction in the end .....

How do you suggest shops do more in way of reducing prices?? With rising costs of fuel this has a knock on effect with everything, being the Island that we are, we have seen fuel surchages, diesel charges for deliverys via trucks. Everything.
I understand the internet is by far cheaper on most things and I do myself buy things off it from time to time mainly for my car and electronics but to make a comparison on something like a tub of food which can only be a few euros in the difference is ludicris, the economy may well not be as strong as previous years but theres no petrol que's or people jumping from the IFSD yet. Out of curiousty how much was the filter in question?
