my dad got this pond built in the gardin swear it is a swimming pool but anyway what does he feed his koi fish we know i koi breeder so we can get the fish anytime we want just want to know what food first thanks

my brother kept koi out the back in a pond for years he used to buy the big bag of pellets up in aquatic village cant remember the name of them they used to come in 15kg bags i think give them a call im sure they still do them

I keep Koi too and I know the food you mean, but cant think of the nam of it, it comes in a red paper sack. Aquatic village do sell it. It is cheap for the amount, which worries me a bit so I feed them a mix of it and Tetra Koi sticks which very excellent. At this time of year you should not be feeding them anything. And when they do start feeding give them food based on wheatgerm.

I haven't tried the Aquatic Village food but can vouch for the Tetra Sticks, a little expensive but IMO well worth it.
No doubt Drew will be along at some point to tell us the name of the AV food.

Hi folks Pettex koi sticks!!! But you really should only be feeding your fish when temps. are above 10C and then only wheatgerm, until it gets warmer!!!
