I have about 80 Angel fish, between a 2 euro and a 1 cent size , born in january.
they come from a platium female and a zebra male.
so they seem to be only zebra or entirely Yellow. this of course may change over time as they mature.

So altums are (Normal) zebra type angel fish, well my female aint ....

im presuming the 40 euro (very rare sign) ain't for those fish. he he..

The 40 euro for them fish was actually a rather good price as the altums in it were wild and not in that bad a condition.......but they'd all sold by the time I got to the shop where that shot was taken (unless there happens to be another shop who wrote exactly the same thing in the exactly the same way).

But, there is nothing wrong with scalares.........a good quality scalare angle is mega times better than a very poor altum.

Well this altums are actually in my 650L tank now with 10 wild green discus and they weren't €40(the €40 is for the cactus plecs that were in the same tank) they were more then that and they were ordered in for me

Very good.

Although the guy in the shop said they were 40 euro but sold. Maybe he was mistaken....or telling me fibs.

So, how are they doing? You can expect some nice rapid growth off them guys. Even wild caught scalares have a rapid growth if you get em soon after import.

Altums should have light red coloured eyes especially when breeding... many shops are offering crossbreed zebras as altums, if you will get real Altums then you're lucky .. anyway altums in nature:
