Who me? I don't believe it after about four years entering the photo comp. this is the first time i won. Man i must take some lousy photos or everyone else takes good ones.
Cheers for the comments and the votes.
Thanks to pet stop for the prize. Damian if you could wrap that and stick a bow on it for me.

I suppose i should tell you a little about the subject in the photo;
These are Caribbean worm snails / sedentary snails (Petaloconchus spp.). They live inside these tubes and spit out a web like mucous that catches particles in the water. They then reel them back in and feed off what ever they have caught.
They are supposed to reproduce by youngsters leaving the tube and building their own tube. This is not how they do it in my tank. During a full moon ( the same for turbo snails) the adult leaves the tube and releases the milt into the water. After a week you will notice youngsters popping up all over the place. A lot of these should be removed because when they spit out the web like thingy it can annoy surrounding corals and stop them feeding.
A few is fine to have and quite amazing to watch.

Thanks again, Darren

Knowing what it is makes the picture even more interesting. Fascinating way of life for a marine creature, much like a spider. Great shot and thanks for the info.
