Hello all,
I'm Patrick and am new here, I have frequented the site as a visitor for a while now, so finally decided I should sign up and become an active member! Have been keeping African cichlids for about 2 1/2 years now and have to say, I love it! Have a juwel vision 260 as my main tank, only recently restocked due to basically the whole tank being annihilated in one night for reasons that still are not completely clear
Anyway,
At the minute I have
8 TROPHEUS BEMBA - 4 are about 2", 4 are about 4"
2 FRONTOSA - both round 3"
2 DEMASONI - about 1 1/2"
4 ACEI NGARA - abou 1 1/2
2 kribensis - about 3 "
2 5" synondontis - these guys are survivors from the wipeout
2 2"synondontis
1 tiger plec - about 4"- also a survivor
1 gibbiceps - about 3" - also a survivor
the plan is to take out the malawis as the frontosa get bigger, same will prob go for the gibbiceps and the kribs.
Seems to be going well at the minute, fish seem relaxed in the tank.
I also have a 60 L tank in the kitchen,
6 cardinal neons
3 penguins
4 glow lights
4 congo tetras
a few corys and
2 dojo loaches
never had a community tank before so am not sure on the mix in the tank, seem to be happy enough so far.
Any advice or pointers on either tank is greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to using the site,
Thanks,
Patrick
