Co2 Cylinders from an supplier in Wicklow 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi Guys/Gals,

Was looking into getting a CO2 cylinder for a proposed Ca reactor I'm planning for the reef tank. I was worried about not been able to source a supply until I found these in Wicklow!

www.hydroponics.ie/component/page,shop.b...irtuemart/Itemid,26/

19.5kg for €85 plus delivery!

Sounds good to me. Will it be suitable for use with a solenoid valve?

Kind regards

Seany

This Post is a duplicate of one I placed in the marine forum. However I thought you planted tank guys would also like to know about it also.

CO2 system should be controlled by pH-meter. Maybe something like that below

Seany if you can get it for ¬85 thats a very good deal IMO, a cylinder that size would last years probably. Although size is probably going to be the problem here, a cylinder that size will be huge and it ain't going to fit inside your tank stand. Your probably better off tracking down a 5kg CO2 fire extinguisher, a lot less bulky. I imagine that the linked cylinder would be at least 4-5 ft high, and they don't look pretty especially in the front living room, the wife might not be that understanding

Seany,

There is a crowd in Bray I got my cylinder from, it cost me €65 for a 5kg a few months ago.
I have to get it refilled next week, so I'll ask him what he charges for refills and I will PM you his details

Zig,

Good Point! She has been very patient with a large reef taking over her dining room. A 5-6 ft Co2 cylinder may not be the most feng shui thing to do on top of that!

Darragh,

That would be brilliant thanks. Let me know when you've spoken to him.

Cheers Lads
