Hi,
I have the exact problem and ended up having to add another heater in the tank to crank the temp up to 30 deg.
Anybody ? Any ideas ?
Thanks.

I had the oppisite problem, could not get a 200w juwel to keep a tank lower than 23. Just crap I guess. I like the Sera heaters with built in guard, but the flex is very short. Tetratec too seem to be good and there flex is extremely long.

Eheim Jaeger heaters are very good and very energy efficient compared to what else is out there. the 300w modell gets my 600l tank to 34 degrees, no problem You can also calibrate them yourself

Like the lady on the TV ad says...'If something doesn't do what it's supposed to, bring it back!'

It's a sad fact of life that you only get what you pay for.
The Juwel concept is great for the retailer in thay they sell everything in one package and even better for the purchaser for pretty much the same reason. You just buy everything in the one package, take it home and add water! - Hassle free!

Unfortunately all the Juwel stuff seems to me to be made to a price rather than to any sort of specification.

So, take the heater(s) back to your respective LFS, they can give you a replacement (which you should insist upon seeing that it does what is claimed for it)...then the shop just hands the offending one(s) over to the Juwel rep next time he/she attends for replacement - job done!

Back to the lady in the ad: 'If you know your rights you won't go wrong'.

juwel hasn't changed though...if the new owners are Juwel agents it would be very good PR to still change it for you...ask them, and if they refuse to then take your business elsewhere!!

You just have to know how to use them.
Wind it all the way back to minus and so it can`t go back anymore. Then it works like a clock. Nine o clock is 25c and 10 is about 26c and so on.
If you wind it too far it just resets.

Worst design ever IMO.

I mean really, would it have killed them to include a simple dial on the top?

Even the cheapest POS heater you can buy has that.
