skimmer question 9 Months, 1 Week ago  
my tank has been running two weeks now with live rock. should my skimmer be producing foam? it has not as yet produced any! is this normal? there are no fish in the tank although there are crabs, snails and feather worms in the rock!

there should be foam - If no Bio load there shuld be clear white foam. What type of skimmer is it. There is a break in time for most skimmers but 2 weeks should be enough. Any pic's I can help more.

Hi its the skimmer that I got with the redsea max. there is foam but it is not foaming over into the cup! just staying on water surface.
