I picked up 2 pairs of these fairly plain but very active livebearers in the UK in November. I have had no fry from tem until yesterday when the first female gave birth to four huge fry and today the second female gave birth to three (I think, they are hard to count in among the plants). The fry were huge, they are in a tank of young guppies and the atripinnis fry about aboutt he same size asa three week old guppy, considering the mother is about the same size (now) as a female guppy three or four young that size is pretty amazing!
This is one of the fry feeding a few hours after birth. I have no shots of the parents, will try and get some later.
The adults can grow to about 15cm int he wild, but 10cm seems to be more common in aquaria.
