While people do feel sailfins can release between 20 and 28 days I think you are putting her in that hatchery far too early. She will get stressed out there and could miscarry fry. I wouldnt put her in for another few days if she only had fry 19 days ago....Also have you though about what you are going to do with all the fry she keeps having? Perhaps you should let nature take its course. You'd be surprised how many may survive especially if there are hiding places.

Hi fishowner,

Hmm maybe i am putting her in far too early ,
there is 8 of the last fry alive and a friend is taking them when they are big enough, so i will have room for more.
The reason i put her in there at this stage as i read somewhere that moving them too late could cause her to get very stressed and the fry may not survive... anyway i must go and read up on it some more..

Putting her in now will cause her problems, she could die from the stress, let her out now I would say and consider whether you need to put her in a hatchery at all.
