Hi Ian and welcome to the forum. your pictures are impressive alright. It must be hard to have to leave a fish room behind. I love the giant guarami too.I keep frogs so I feel sorry for the poor fellow being scoffed by the arowana. looking forward to hearing about your new tanks when it happens

enjoy the forum

Hello Ian,
You're most welcome to our Forum. Sadly, due to my dismally slow connection speed I cannot access your photos but hopefully will be able to see them soon...

I remember seeing my first Arowanas in a shop in London in the early seventies (but it may have been the late sixties, much of that time had sort of become 'blurred' in the memory) - but I do recall how impressed I was with them.

Do you plan any further tanks to bring you back to your previous level of tanks/fish?

John

hi johnH,

while i'm here now in Dublin, I dont think I can go back to the level of set-ups I have especially the cost here is so much. For now its OK with me to start small and gradually stock up when I have the resources/space and time. thanks!

Hi Ian,

Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your time with us.

Wow, very impressive set up!!! I am sure you found it tough to leave all behind . I hope you will get a chance to progressively build back to what you had before.
These fish are really massive! I would have to start building an extension that's bigger than the house for such tankbusters!

Keep us updated on your Irish fish-keeping !

Regards,
Valerie

HI Valerie,

I will certainly try to at least get 1/3 of the effort but I know it harder out here. Certainly having a 6 ft tank with a nice mix of carnivores would sound and look grand to have.
