I had to show you guys what poor standards people are setting by the sale of these fish on ebay..

i cannot believe this guy has the balls to sell such poor and distressed fish.

I have sent a report to ebay and the seller asking for the items to be taken down..

I've seen dead fish looking healthier.
I taught they did away with selling live animals on ebay.

Unless eBay have changed the rules, it is against the rules to sell fish on eBay.

I have to say that I have bought some of the best quality rare and interesting fish on eBay!! It's all about getting to know the seller, reading their descriptions and readign their feedback. Generally speaking I am not in favour of buying any fish unseen, but it is a way of locating new suppliers. After dealing with them initially on eBay and establishing the quality of the fish, I have travelled to the UK to collect fish personally from two sellers. In both cases they are breeders and not jsut selling on imports that arrived the day before.

Important note to this is that not all fish deliveries from the UK were successful, I have been let down by couriers / Royal Mail and An Post and therefore would not buy any fish off eBay now for postal delivery - only if I intended collecting in person.

The fish here do look awful and hopefully any potential purchasers see that and keep moving.

There were no bids on the first or third links, but someone bid and won the second at £50.

The auctions do not appear to have ended early, so as usual eBay are slow to take action that would reduce their bottom line.
