does any one have any ideas on why my plants seem or are growing better/quicker after the minor leak i had. as i needed to move the tank and stand to clean and dry the carpet underneath it i did a spot of removing the plants i didnt like and reposition the rest.

i've added no ferts since i planted the tank 12 mths ago and dont use any co2.

one plant ( sorry dont know the name) has a new leaf which has grown 1 1/2 inchs in 3 days is this usual?

Less plants mean less competition for water, also possibly they are receiving more light now ?

never thought of it that way fishowner it was all the vals. i took out so there could quite possibly be more light now..... anyway i think the tank looks better without them there!!!
