Retirement and forum shutdown (17 Jan 2022)

Hi,

John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.

I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.

With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.

I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.

If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.

I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.

I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.

Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

www.zoo-berlin.de/en/metanavigation/shop...kets.html?no_cache=1

sealife was brilliant
www.sealifeeurope.com/local/index.php?loc=berlin

you can get deals for sealife legoland and the waxworks.

shows were good
food was brill anything you want from anywhere

we got a daily travel card was under €7 which did buses, trains and underground /overground till 2Am.

museums art galleries Architecture etc great music hidden away but avoid the Irish bars to expensive.

if you are going to check point charlie be there around ten its quiet best picks and bring your passport get it stamped if you don't you will regret it for ever.

we avoided tours just walked and found even more interesting things to do or see English is widely spoken and menus in English in most good eateries

It sounds great. I will def be heading to the zoo one of the days. I will be wandering around taking in the sites for most of the 4 days (after the conference)!! Cant wait to go. Is it cheap for eating out and drinking.

It sounds like you had a great time over there.

Was there last month. Love berlin go there every year. Make sure you get to the zoo. Its the biggest in europe and if the blue man group are in town make sure you go. They are expensive but well worth the money. The boat tours are also nice and relaxing and the tv tower outside alexanderplaz is amazing at night. Also there is the anti berlin tour that is quite good brings you to all the places that they dont like to show off in berlin going on that is how i managed to climb the berlin wall. There is also a clothes show that sells by the KG

It is a amazing city.

Hi nonie
If you get the chance try and stop by the raddison hotel in Berlin and have a look at the aquarium in the lobby all 25 mtrs and 900,000 ltrs of water of it,I think non hotel guests have to pay to travel up in the lift that run thru it but can't remember.Quite a Sight tho....:) :) :)
