Finally I'm here :)

Hi,
John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.
I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.
With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.
I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.
If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.
I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.
I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.
Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Hi All
My Name is Marcin, I live in Dublin since 2004.
I kept fish in a 100l tank for 10 years in my native country, and got back to my hobby in Ireland 5 years ago.
I own heavily planted freshwater 160L aquarium where I keep Microrasboras galaxy (pearl danio), Microrasboras erythromicron, Panda corrys + 100's red cherry shrimps.
My small success is to breed microrasboras galaxy quite regurarly in the main tank.
I do also have interest in advanced co2 systems (I have 2 botles one is 2kg, another one 25 kg.)
I hope to find here some advices that will help me to improve my tank.
I'm trying to keep my tank as close to the nature as possible - no colour stones, plastic plants, submarines or ceramic ships.
My plan for 2013 is to setup new opti white tank which will have 580L - and to recreate natural habitat for Microrasboras galaxy and other Burma species ( Asia). I hope to find here some interesting stuff, or to get some help on Burma lakes flora and fauna.
I'll try to upload some photos and tank specs later today.
Feel free to contact me if you would like to get some help with exploring Polish aquaristic equipment market. ( websites, online shops, orders) ( you can be surprised sometimes by price difference)
I'm also happy to share my experience about Microrasboras and co2 setup
All the best,
Marcin

Ooops! I see now..... That's something you would expect in Ireland, people can correct me if I am wrong but the Pool in the Aquatic centre here is too short for World records because they didn't include the thickness of the Tiles and Adhesive on the sides !!!
I could be wrong but it is something ridiculous like that.
