The One Stop Pet Shop Youghal is Changing
×
Hi,
John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.
I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.
With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.
I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.
If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.
I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.
I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.
Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Hi Guys
Simon here, haven’t been on for a while because of a few changes. If any one has tried contacting me via e-mail I apologise if I haven’t got back to you.
As of Dec The One Stop Pet Shop is splitting. The Pet Shop will still be the pet shop but the Aquatics side is changing to Amazon Aquatics.
We are just in the process of adding 3 more new banks for display tanking our display to 88 tanks of Tropical.
We are going to be specialising in imports direct from South America. We will still be doing all your favourites but we are going to do many more Sp. of pleco, Cory, Dwarf cic and of course our own Discus, imported and our own Irish bred Stock. Also more oddballs stock.
We will still be stocking loads of tropica plants
All the equipment to go with them to. Lots and lots of equipment.
Also coming in the New Year but will keep you up to date is our own salt water section. 2000L's worth. Going to be Very exciting.
Things in cork are changing. We hope to see you soon.
Thanks again to the Forum and we hope to be a grater part of it in the future.
If any one needs any thing give us a call at the shop 024-85963 or e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Simon,
Great to see you moving things in the right direction...Cork badly needs it to be honest. For anyone who hasnt been to Simon's yet,Id highly recommend a trip down. (I travel and hour and half to get to him but its worth it). Simon know's his fish which defo helps when someone wants to know anything, also plants always look fab. Will be paying a visit soon Simon, might get some more Galaxy's off you,the last lot have coloured so well.
Anyhow, best of luck again.
Gavin
