Retirement and forum shutdown (17 Jan 2022)

Hi,

John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.

I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.

With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.

I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.

If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.

I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.

I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.

Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Pool fan, but well done spurs, deserved, they have been really good this season, still regret loosing crouch.
The league is all but over, no footy in the summer

ITFS 5 aside on astro might be a bit of craic in the summer?

Thats a ladies day out mate, a tourny full of knackered half injured players nowhere near their best. And we're not there. I do want to watch France get whooped tho.

Ain't kicked a ball in a while:(

This message contains an 18 cert and is not fit for younger viewers. With the rubbish played at this years champs league (bar a magic spell from Barcelona) Spurs might be worth a punt, it's a long shot but might be offering nice odds and could be a surprise, just look at Fulham.

FullOfHam are better than the sum of their parts, mainly the managers tactics and very good man management. He did a great job with the Finnish team while he was there. Spurs have now got a good squad in spite of their manager, CatFlapp is rubbish, mid table manager who will be a disaster in the CL.

As for Rafa, I would say this is his first bad season, not sayin all were great, but this was truely a bad season. To say he's a cr@p manager is a bit duhhhh, you don't get to 4 CL finals winning 2 by luck.

I do think it's funny some MU fans blaming the reffing for their being behind Chelsea, mainly the two head to head games:laugh:   Fergie shouldn't have turned on his bed fellows when he slated the refs fitness:laugh:

you can't deny that apart from alonso and torres who else has he bought that has had a huge impact on the liverpool squad?

and i dont believe this ownership BS either he's had 4 seasons spent more then £200m

and has one true great player to show for it the other left cause he tried to sell him to fund a move for gareth barry!!?!

what makes him such a good player?

as for united if we dont win the league on sunday we've no one to blame but our selves losing to burnley and droppin points in games other than the chelsea games should be the real talkin point not ref decisions in the chelsea games

If you're going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you're going to be locked up.

also the fact fergie made no major singings (maybe due to debt) the team has a staleness about it and it's evident in a lot of matches

Congrats to Chevsky, they did it in style, though, after moaning of liverpools softness, look at stoke and wigan on the final day. Making it a foregone conclusion before kickoff which is bad for any league.
