HI !!
×
Hi,
John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.
I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.
With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.
I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.
If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.
I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.
I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.
Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Hi I'm a beginner, just found this website, hope I'll learn a lot. Bought this tropical fish tank for my daughters. my little loves fish, keep tell them ''eat, eat''. I put those in d ''prison'' because they r bully, they keep eat other fish, they ate one of their own as soon as I let them out in d tank after I bought them. So instead of through them out (I want 2 buy more fish) I put them in d bottle c how d one behaves on its own.

Hello and welcome to the site.
You can not make a fish "behave". The fish in the bottle will die. If its attacking other fish its probalbly an aggressive species and in its nature. Please do some research befor buying any more fish. If you have any questions please ask here or in your local fish shop.

Hi and welcome.
I love the shape of those Tanks, they are nice for small Fish.
I would agree with the other Posters, please remove the Fish from the Bottle, the air inside will be gone very quickly, if it is causing a problem, you will be right to return it to the Shop, they should take it back and give you something friendlier to the other Fish.
This is a great place for information and you can ask anyone here what Fish go together and also about the Water conditions, Diseases etc.
Fish cannot be made to do what we want them to do so it is best for all if you give it back.
Kev.

Welcome to the forum.
but you cannot teach a fish a lesson they only work on instinct not knowledge based
reasoning.

Thanks a lot for d advise lads!
My fella has d bottle lean over d air stone, der wholes I cut so should b air in d bottle. He will take d bottle out bit to feed them. they ate 2 Neon, one window cleaner and 1 of them own

(
think they r very hungry fish. But since I separate them out d other fish r behaving very good, they not trace each other try to bite each other any more. I will try to return them to d local pet shop. Never heard you can return them, they dont give receipt so wish me luck.
