Retirement and forum shutdown (17 Jan 2022)

Hi,

John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.

I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.

With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.

I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.

If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.

I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.

I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.

Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Hello there,
Ian here to tell you that our shipments are in.And wow the fish are really nice. The marines are stunning and different lots of new fish species here for the first time.If you dont check out the deals then it is your loss you are getting Aquatic Village quality for half the price. The anemones are enormous and only €40???Customers yesterday couldnt believe the prices it was like serving children. We have lots of tetras for €1 and they are large ones. The swordtails are huge and they are €2 seriously colourful......if you are tight for cash then this is where you need to shop.
I will post a stock video later on our website www.aquatic-village.com when i get the chance but we have so many tanks its hard to make a vid that is 25 minutes long..like before...i may just do a run around.
The koi pond is nearly finished being relined cant wait to get that back up and running.By the way some nice small koi came in:)
I hate selling such nice stock so quickly because no one gets to see what they missed and thats a shame...yesterday a couple of guys bought 5 five inch oscars beautifully marked plus a red tail catfish for €75 it was like getting your teeth pulled talk about the pain......but enough times are tough for us all so from now on its sell sell sell i cant keep holding on to everything..i'm my biggest fish keeper...i can't let go..
So at least all our tanks are full now which is always nice...keeping them full is the problem. We already have another shipment of marines and trops planned on that 5cm discus will be selling for €20 and i mean quality discus not bargain basement stuff our promise is that our quality will be first priorty we wont be selling junk....If anybody has any queries drop me a line i have already posted the list so u can check that out ....ps lovely xxl large colourful guppy males €2 females €1 and gouramis €3.00 i could go on and on but i wont....
Thanks for reading
