Retirement and forum shutdown (17 Jan 2022)

Hi,

John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.

I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.

With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.

I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.

If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.

I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.

I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.

how ya finding the bbs and congrats mate i knew i should have move the eggs to anither tank haha

as for water changes the more small ones u do each day would be good as in a 10% each day for a week or two if u think about it sure way not if it is going to do good for them how many is there

vision260 cheers bud yeah the bbs is cool im feeding them a small bit 3 times a day dont know if this right or wrong but so far they are doing well moved them into a bigger tank today they were only in a 10ltr. jail took out 5 or 6 dead ones in the process but they seem to be doing better in this tank will put up a little video later on me way out now

and im just going to do small water changes for the mo

hi guys just an update how im getting on ive about 50 to 60 or more strong fry 6 days old seem to be in very good shape but its still finger's crossed everyday :unsure:


i finally got the breeding tank up and running the angels are in their 3 days lights off temp at 27 feeding them flake food and frozen brine shrimp noticed them today cleaning a the flat rock i had hoped they would lay on and i said to the other their going to lay eggs in the next few days but about 7pm their the were doing their stuff her laying and him fertilizing tried to video it but couldn't see feck all ive been having a look with a torch and their is much more than the last time :cool:
im going to leave this lot in with the parents and see how they get on would love to see the parents doing their job

will get some pics up of the first batch soon as they are big enough to see with my sh1te camera

now i know what she can get me for xmas :laugh:

i moved the eggs into their own tank tonight about 150 of them only pulled off 8 white ones which was very good lets hope this is a strong batch
