Hi,
John Howell who has managed the forum for years is getting on and wishes to retire from the role of managing it.
Over the years, he has managed the forum through good days and bad days and he has always been fair.
He has managed to bring his passion for fish keeping to the forum and keep it going for so long.
I wish to thank John for his hard work in keeping the forum going.
With John wishing to "retire" from the role of managing the forum and the forum receiving very little traffic, I think we must agree that forum has come to a natural conclusion and it's time to put it to rest.
I am proposing that the forum be made read-only from March 2022 onwards and that no new users or content be created. The website is still registered for several more years, so the content will still be accessible but no new topics or replies will be allowed.
If there is interest from the ITFS or other fish keeping clubs, we may redirect traffic to them or to a Facebook group but will not actively manage it.
I'd like to thank everyone over the years who helped with forum, posted a reply, started a new topic, ask a question and helped a newbie in fish keeping. And thank you to the sponsors who helped us along the away. Hopefully it made the hobby stronger.
I'd especially like to thank John Howell and Valerie Rousseau for all of their contributions, without them the forum would have never been has successful.
Thank you
Darragh Sherwin

Anyone use this? in a bid to support the economy back home in Holland I tried this product for the first time, I already use the easycarbo and profito, and I don't know what to think, the cloudiness in the water is seemingly normal for a while, from reading the label it looks like a great product but does it do what it says on the tin
Was hoping on some personal experiences on this product, so if you have any..................

If it did a quarter of what it says on the tin, it would be great stuff. I use it all the time. The cloudy water will clear in an hour or two and the water will sparkle afterwards.

gotta agree with darragh ... i use it all the time , especially after a large water change .... once the cloudiness clears the water looks amazing and i have even noticed colours in fish looking much stronger ..... i would swear by the stuff

I normally dont trust any product that claims to do more than 1 or 2 things. But this stuff seems to work very well.
I use it as a dechlorinator on tanks that get tap water and the other tanks get a dose once a month or so. Even the marine tank gets a dose.

Owen i only ever seen it on sale here once about a year ago. But i haven't seen it since. Ring some of the sponsors to see if they stock it. Other than that you will have to check on-line for it. Buying by the gallon works out cheaper.

The fishbowl in Lucan have it too.
Daragh (or anyone else) do you use it on your shrimp tanks too??
Btw I was indeed well impressed with the crystal clear water when lights came on this morning

Been using it for 4 weeks now.
You can never really know if it does all it claims to do.
What I do know is that the water is very clear after 3 hours ( after it settles ) and all the water tests I have run have been clear. This fish are all alive too which is a good sign.
I got mine off
