Ian Compton Profile...

Hi everyone.....was reading the profiles some great fish collections.I have been keeping fish since i was eleven....unfortunately i started with a biscuit tin...my dad was not big into the idea and also he had a hell of a lot of trouble keeping me from fishing as i would disappear for days at a time....i spent quite a lot of time locked in my bedroom....

As for profiles..i have a massive collection of my own personal stock some have been with me for well over ten years.I am not just a fish seller i am a fish horder.I am a fish keeper too so i will try and stick my current collection on paper for the first time....this is goin to be fun....my fish collection cost me nearly €1000 a week to run and maintain by the way......

I will start off with some of my tank busters:

Male and female adult Pacu...Male is over 15lbs and still growing he is well over 60 cm...

i have two Paroon Sharks 45 cm each

i have a 60 cm giant gourami

i have a 70 cm pictus catfish

i have 2 pangassius sutchi 50 cm each

i have a 30 cm giraffe catfish

i have 50 adult red bellied piranha

i have 4 caribe piranha

i have a specimen 30 cm hi back wild black rhom....in his own 500 litre tank of course

i have 2 electric catfish one is 30 cm

my japanese koi collection.....mmmmmmmm

So next time your kid wants to keep fish let him...or he will end up like me.....

None of the fish on my list are for sale...i don't sell my own fish.....

I keep all these fish in work with me....i spend 7 days a week there up to 100 hours per week so at least i get to mess about with them that is why i have so many display tanks....it's a sickness really...i should be selling fish not hording them but that is the madness after all....sure u probably have your work cut out looking after all your own stuff...i hear good things about you Seamus...

Great to see the frontosa breeding for you. In fact everything seemed to be breeding the last time I was up there.. Have you been sharing your *medication* with the fish??

I have known IAN since he started aquatic village about 15 years ago , a really nice guy and very knowledgeable . Have some of his brilliant koi in my pond ,including a 18 inch dotsui sanke purchased the day after my mum passed away 5 years ago , guess what her name is ,yep it's mum.
